Share2 is a tool for improving your browser usability by automating the sharing of web content (links) on social networks. With Share2 you can conveniently use your browser as a single client for social networks, thus replacing multiple native apps and saving your device resources, e.g. Internet traffic, battery charge, RAM etc. It will also improve your privacy protection limiting the amount of user data collected by social networks to the level defined in your browsers settings for websites.HOW DOES IT WORKSimply put, Share2 provides you with those social network icons in the "Share..." menu you are used to. Without a native app installed there is no icon; you would have to copy the link, open your social network page in a new browser tab, create a new post, and then paste the link there - all done manually.With Share2 you can do it all in one tap. Just select the social networks you need in the app settings and their icons will appear in the "Share..." menu. Tap an icon and Share2 will do the rest: seamlessly passing the link you want to share on to the posting page opened in a new tab. It works similar to the sharing widgets on webpages, except that not all the sites have them (or have the one you need) and their location on a page may vary forcing you to scroll the page back and forth.WHY USE IT"Share2" is designed with pure functionality in mind. It is an add-on to a browser, not a standalone app. Theres no separate user interface except for the settings screen; the app is operated entirely through the system interface (dialogues).It doesnt run in the background, being activated only when you tap the icon to share. Depending on the mode you choose, it will shut down closing the tab once you have published your post or right after opening the posting page with your link pasted in (youll have to close that page manually then). No personal data is collected or stored by the app; only crash logs and performance reports are collected by Googles dedicated services. Logging on to your social media accounts is done with the browser of your choice.It doesnt drain the battery, eat up RAM or use Internet traffic. No permissions are requested by the app itself (the aforementioned Googles services may require some permissions if the system does not grant them by default).HOW TO USE ITShare2 is suited for sharing web content, i.e. any content presented as a web-link (URL). That includes not only webpages from the browser but also multimedia from hosting or streaming services, files stored in a cloud (including home NAS) etc.Uploading images, videos or other files from the local storage of your device can be done directly with the browser; it is not currently supported by the app. Additional plugins for selected websites to upload content to may be released in the future if there is demand.WHERE TO USE ITCurrently supported social networks include:- Facebook- Twitter- LiveJournal- LinkedIn- Reddit- Pinterest- VK- OKMore networks can be added upon requests. Some networks are not included on the initial list due to their predominant mode of use (e.g. posting original content or uploading multimedia) which this apps functionality adds no value to.WHY NOT FREEFree apps are normally not quite free; they just have other ways of monetisation: ads, donation requests, user data, paid interfaces etc. All of them are completely not what this app is about. Once Share2 is set up, there should be nothing else but its declared functionality at the fingertips. No intrusive windows, no ad banners, no "buy me a beer" suggestions, not even "please rate this app if you like it" pop-ups.
